KUWAIT: His Highness the Prime Minister Sheikh Ahmad Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah sponsored and attended on Sunday a military exercise involving Gulf Cooperation Council (GCC) member states.

The drill, which brought together a number of Kuwaiti state ministers and Saudi Arabia's Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan Al Saud, is an opportunity for the militaries of GCC countries to share their combat knowhow, said Kuwait's Interior Ministry Undersecretary Abdulatif Al-Barjas said.

The drill comprised a vast array of exercises, including counterterrorism operations and how to deal with security alerts, both of which help build a "comprehensive" defense system, His Highness the Prime Minister told the press.
