KUWAIT: Parents of several Kuwaiti youth have informed the Ministry of Awqaf and Islamic Affairs about their concerns that their children are sympathetic to Daesh (the Islamic State) and could be recruited. Reports in the Arabic press noted that the youth include both male and females and that the Awqaf ministry is dealing with this information in secret in order to protect the youth and their families. Citizens who have demonstrated sympathy with terrorist organizations via social media may be considered high risks and appropriate efforts are being made to rehabilitate their point of view.
