KUWAIT: Drugs found with a passenger arrested at Kuwait International Airport yesterday.

KUWAIT: An Egyptian man was arrested at Kuwait International Airport while attempting to smuggle 4,000 illicit tablets and was sent to Drugs Control General Department.

Hawally thief detained

Hawally criminal detectives arrested an Arab man who broke into vehicles and stole their owners' belongings from inside. The man was placed under surveillance then was arrested. Police found some of the stolen material with him. The man was linked to more than 25 thefts and seven other felonies. He was sent to concerned authorities.

Crackdowns

Head of the emergency team at Farwaniya Municipality Ahmad Al-Shareeka said a campaign was carried out in Khaitan that resulted in confiscating and destroying 160 kg of expired foodstuff. Meanwhile, head of emergency team at the Capital Municipality Zaid Al-Enezi said that encroachments on state property were removed during a recent crackdown such as steel and wooden fences in seven buildings, while 18 unlicensed billboards were removed, seven motorcycles were confiscated and 19 workers ticketed for practicing professions while using unlicensed vehicles.
