KUWAIT: A dispute between a female doctor and a patient escalated and needed police's intervention to be stopped. The patient, an Egyptian man, had lost his tempers while waiting for his turn at a medical center, and when the doctor asked him to wait, he kept arguing with her and the two engaged in a heated verbal exchange. Police apprehended the patient for questioning after the doctor accused him of insulting her during the quarrel.

 

Drug overdose

 

A citizen was found dead in Adan Hospital's parking lot. Police responded to an emergency call about a man found motionless inside a vehicle. Paramedics were summoned to the scene, and they pronounced the man dead. The coroner later determined that the death was caused by a drug overdose. Concerned authorities are investigating.

 

Physical assault

 

An Indian man lodged a complaint against his friend, saying that he beat him up and caused him several injuries over a financial dispute. The victim submitted a medical report stating that he sustained a number of 'severe' injuries. Police are investigating, bearing in mind that the suspect is the victim's roommate.

 

Fugitives caught

 

A fugitive was apprehended after he attempted to use his brother's ID to escape arrest. The man had stopped at a checkpoint in Jahra when police grew suspicious of the ID he produced, noticing that he looked noticeably different compared to the picture in the card. They performed a fingerprint identity check which revealed his true identity, along with his criminal record.

 

The man was taken to the proper authorities pending procedures to be sent to the Central Prison to serve a six-year sentence. In a separate case, a citizen was sent to the Drugs Control General Department (DGCA) as police found him in an abnormal condition, then found drugs and syringes on him. He was also found to be wanted by authorities to serve a three-year jail sentence. He was sent to concerned authorities.

 

Swindling

 

An Arab pharmacist accused her brother-in-law of swindling her after convincing her to start a business with him as a partner. The woman told police that she gave KD 3,700 to her brother-in-law, which he had asked to start a women's beauty salon.
