KUWAIT: Kuwait is determined to provide ample employment opportunities for its youngsters, which in turn, would help meet the needs of the local job market, Kuwait’s Public Authority for Youth (PAY) said on Sunday. Speaking on the sidelines of a local job fair at Kuwait’s Australian College, the body’s chief, Dr Mishaal Al-Shaheen said that PAY is committed to its role of providing jobs for young nationals, many of whom are currently unemployed.
To address the matter, he added that PAY has launched a new initiative – a web portal allowing fresh graduates to sign up for jobs, saying that the platform has already churned out more than 2,000 jobs for youngsters. More than 100 companies are included in the portal as part of elaborative plans to lure more youth into the private sector, allowing it the chance to enlist the services of qualified personnel, he underlined. – KUNA
