KUWAIT: Police arrested the suspected killer of a Ukrainian man whose body was found in his car in Fahaheel. The suspect, Russian, was arrested while attempting to leave the country and was sent to concerned authorities.

Fires

Mishref fire center responded to a call about a fire in the diwaniya of a house, which was evacuated. Firemen were told a disabled person was inside, who was found unconscious with various burns. He was taken to hospital and the fire was put out. Separately, a fire broke out in a camp and chalet on Wafra road. Mina Abdullah fire center responded and put out the fire. No injuries were reported.

Brothel raided

Farwaniya security men busted a brothel in Firdous and arrested five Sri Lankan prostitutes inside. They were taken to the proper authorities to face charges.

Bootlegger caught

Hawally police arrested an Indian man with possession of 231 bottles of homebrewed and imported liquor in Jabriya. The arrest was made when a car was spotted in an open yard while the man was placing bags in the trunk. When police approached him, he fled on foot, but was caught, while 220 locally made and 11 imported liquor bottles were found. The suspect and the liquor were sent to the Drug Control General Directorate (DCGD).
