KUWAIT: MP Ahmed Mutee’ said upon direct instructions from Deputy Prime Minister and Interior Minister Sheikh Mohammed Al-Khaled Al-Sabah, the Ministry of Interior has intensified search operations for missing Kuwaiti child Abdulaziz Ahmad Al-Azmi.

Meanwhile, MP Sultan Al-Lughaisam Al-Shemmari denied reports that he had offered a big reward to whoever finds the missing child.

The Interior Ministry’s Relations and Security Media Department urged the public to provide police with any information that could lead to finding the child.

The local press reported yesterday that Abdulaziz Al-Azmi, a 14-year-old boy, disappeared last week, and his family hasn’t found him yet. His father said that his son suffers from a psychological problem and dropped out of school two years ago.

He said they sought medical and spiritual treatment to no avail. He said that on the day of his disappearance, he was with his mother and brothers at dawn, and told his mother he wanted to sit outside.

He went out under the watchful eye of his mother, then fled towards the Sixth Ring Road, which is across from his Saad Al-Abdullah house.

The father said the mother woke him up, and he went along with his brother to look for him. He said when they came close to him, he crossed the road and disappeared. He said police searched the area, but the boy is yet to be found.
