KUWAIT: Deputy Premier and Interior Minister Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah issued two decisions to discharge a female sergeant for violating the military code by appearing in an "unsuitable manner" on social media; and suspend a first lieutenant until the case of attempted murder in which he is the accused is solved.

Offender jailed

The prosecution ordered a citizen jailed for 21 days for insulting the Prophet (PBUH). The citizen tweeted words and sentences that insulted the Prophet (PBUH), so electronic crimes department arrested him. He is being sent to the central prison.

Arsonist caught

Detectives arrested an arsonist who set garbage containers on fire, after he started 30 fires in various areas. The suspect, a Gulf national, was caught while on his way to set yet another fire. He was found to be on drugs. Detectives are interrogating him to find his motives.

Fight

A Syrian and a Palestinian were injured during a fight, and ended up held at Nugra police station. The Syrian received a scalp wound, while the Palestinian suffered a broken nose, and both were taken to Mubarak Hospital under guard. Both will be sent to the prosecution.

Drug possession

An Egyptian man was caught with 10 bags of heroin. A police patrol noticed the man and asked him for his ID, but he ran away. He was pursued and arrested and found to be under the influence of drugs. The man was taken to the proper authorities to face charges.

Fugitive apprehended

An Indian woman wanted for swindling was arrested in Khaitan. The suspect was wanted by several police stations, and her residency permit had expired.
