MP Dr Oudha Al-Ruwa’ie

KUWAIT: The parliament’s educational committee meets this week with private school owners and the association of parents of private school students in order to discuss the fees’ issue as the panel prepares to finish the private education law. Committee Chairman MP Dr Oudha Al-Ruwa’ie reiterated the need for a mechanism that includes certain criteria and specifications based on which the fees’ increase process would be controlled.

This week’s meeting attempts to reach a common ground between the parties involved regarding these criteria, Ruwa’ie said, adding that the panel is also set to meet Education Ministry officials led by minister Dr Bader Al- Essa in two weeks to discuss the draft law. — Al-Anbaa
