Qatari-Kuwaiti military drill in Doha

KUWAIT: The Qatari-Kuwaiti Amiri Guards drill, codenamed 'Saqer Al-Khalij 2,' was successful, said chief of Kuwait's Amiri Guard, Brigadier Fahad Al-Zayed yesterday. The drill was launched to develop security cooperation between Kuwait and Qatar, the military official said, adding that the exercise displayed the readiness and professionalism of both forces.

He affirmed that the GCC nations were looking forward to the holding of a new exercise in the near future, adding that the drill was in line with both leaderships' desire for more security and peace in the region. The 'Saqer Al-Khaij 2' exercise began on February 16. - KUNA
