KUWAIT: The Ahmadi security department carried out a security campaign in Fintas, Jaber Al-Ali, Sabahiya, Mahboula, Dhahr, Riqqa, Egaila, Abu Halifa, Mahboula, Mangaf, Kabd and Khairan to stop reckless drivers and violators of the law.

The campaign, led by Acting Director of Ahmadi Security Brig Abdullah Saffah Al-Mulla, resulted in the arrest of 78 persons, 14 of whom were reported absconding, 21 wanted for civil cases and three over suspicion of drugs possession, while 31 traffic citations were issued and six vehicles impounded.

1,020 kg of meat destroyed

Kuwait Municipality's Ahmadi food and meat department destroyed 1,020 kilograms of meat unfit for human consumption during the period between February 22 and March 7. The public relations department said 577 Australian sheep were slaughtered in the governorate's slaughterhouse for companies and stores, while 272 sheep were slaughtered for private citizens. The report said that the number of Arab sheep slaughtered for companies was 134. Meanwhile, five goats were slaughtered for companies and 1,164 for private citizens.
