KUWAIT: Official Municipality sources said the 'bachelors' committee' will discuss a proposal to ban renting houses to expats in private residential areas. The sources added that the system will not allow expats to reside among Kuwaiti families unless they provide marriage contracts endorsed by Kuwaiti embassies abroad or concerned local authorities, provide photocopies of their wives' civil IDs, sign contracts with the owners with separate civil numbers for the rented units and then register the contracts with area mayors. The sources added that the municipality had previously suggested not renewing the civil IDs of single expats residing in these areas. - A Saleh
