The Jahra Road Development Project is one of the largest infrastructure projects in Kuwait, with the goal of turning Road 80 in the heart of Kuwait's urban area into a major expressway while also developing key roads connected to it, mainly the Jamal Abdul Nasser Road.

The vital road, which extends from the Jahra Roundabout to the United Nations Roundabout, serves several key areas and institutions including Kuwait University and Public Authority for Applied Education and Training, Shuwaikh Port, the Sabah Health Zone, in addition to military academies and industrial areas.

The $931.8 million project involves the creation of 17.7km of segmental viaducts - 7.3km of which is an elevated stretch of carriageway, and is expected to significantly improve traffic flow in one of Kuwait's most crowded areas. The Public Authority for Roads and Transportation had announced in January 2020 that the project is nearly 98 percent complete.
