KUWAIT: The Court of Appeal yesterday released the Russian defendant and Saeed Dashti in the KGL case on a KD 20 million bail each plus a travel ban pending another hearing on June 9. The Russian businesswoman was in jail after being convicted by a Kuwaiti court of misappropriating public funds in the ‘Port Fund’ case. Kuwait Port Authority had alleged that the woman and another defendant illegally took millions of dinars of its money, but she continues to deny the charges.
