KUWAIT: Kuwait Shooting Club concludes its local season with the tournament of the late Sheikh Sabah Al-Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah starting Thursday and will continue until Saturday. The tournament which includes the Olympic skeet, trap, double trap, 10m air pistol and riffle, 50 m rifle and archery, will be held at Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Olympic Shooting Complex.

Kuwait and Arab Shooting Federations Secretary General Obaid Al-Osaimi said the club always immortalize the memory of those who contributed to the service of our beloved country, and left behind clear marks in supporting and caring for the sport of shooting, which is an integral part of our heritage.

Al-Osaimi appreciated the support the family of the late Sheikh's family, as evident in the unlimited efforts of Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah, who is the honorary president of the Kuwait Shooting Sport Club, which contributed to the achievements regionally and internationally.

Obaid Al-Osaimi said the season was busy be it in local tournaments or at the international level, as after starting the season with HH the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah tournament, which witnessed major success, it was followed by specialized and all inclusive tournament, which shooters when keen to participate in so that they may by selected to represent Kuwait at the international level.

He said that it was a good omen that HH the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Seventh International Grand Prix coincided with the launch of Kuwait's National and Liberations and celebrations, in which more 300 shooters representing more than 30 countries participated.
