KUWAIT: The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst will hold a ceremony at the end of November to honor all Kuwaitis who were trained there since 1952 until today. The ceremony will take place under the patronage of Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister Sheikh Khaled Al-Jarrah Al-Sabah. It will be held in coordination with Spink company, a British manufacturer of medals since the era of Queen Victoria.

Spink's agent in Kuwait Nedhal Masoud Al-Fuhaid told Kuwait News Agency (KUNA) that this event aims to build bridges of communication between Sandhurst and its members and to promote humanitarian and military relations with Britain in general and Sandhurst in particular.

Fuhaid stressed that the patronage of Deputy Prime Minister and Defense Minister for this charity event emphasizes loyalty and gratitude for the previous generation of Kuwaiti military pioneers and care and attention to the current generation of officers, pointing out that the event is the first on the Gulf and Arab domain, "and we are honored that Kuwait takes the lead to patronize it".

The Royal Military Academy Sandhurst in Surrey is where all officers in the British Army are trained to take on the responsibilities of leading the soldiers under their command. Senior Kuwaiti officials who trained at the academy include Lieutenant General Sheikh Mubarak Al-Abdullah, the first Chief of Staff in Kuwait, the Late Defense Minister Sheikh Ali Sabah Al-Salem and Infantry Commander Major General Sheikh Khaled Saleh Al-Sabah. - KUNA
