KUWAIT: Kuwait Times is publishing a daily recap of two Kuwaiti soap operas aired on Al Rai TV and MBC Drama. Here are the recaps of the seventh episodes:

Saq Al Bamboo Saq Al Bamboo

'Saq Al Bamboo' (Bamboo Stalk)

After Khawla convinces her grandmother Ghanima to meet Eisa, Ghasan brings him to the house. Rashid's sister Nooriya makes fun of him and suggests he takes money and leave Kuwait, as she flatly rejects him being a member of the family. She even says that she will not visit this house if he is in it. She says that if people come to know about him, it will affect the reputation of the Taruf family.

Their other sister Awatef is more religious and defends Eisa, saying he should live in the house as this is his family. She also says that the family should not be separated as this is against Islam. But Ghanima refuses to let Eisa stay and says that just because she agreed to meet him doesn't mean she will let him stay in the house.

Eisa asks Ghasan to take him to Mubarakiya, and then he takes him to pray in the church. Khawla and her aunt Hind go to visit Eisa at Ghasan's house. Khawla talks to Eisa and tells him she needs time to get used to this situation - that she has a brother - but is happy to have one. Eisa tells her he is confused and doesn't know what his religion is, but believes in God.

Hind and Ghasan fight, and he is upset that Hind cares about the family name the most. They return home and Khawla talks with Noora, the daughter of Nooriya, who knows they went to see Eisa. Khawla tells her that she thinks her aunt Hind loves Ghasan and there is an old story between them.

Hind is a human rights activist, and she is invited to a talk show on TV where she speaks about the problems of Kuwaitis married to non-Kuwaitis and what their children face. Ghasan takes Eisa again to Ghanima's house to convince her to let him stay, especially since he will be traveling soon and it's hard for him to stay alone, but she refuses and is rude to him.

Been Galbin (Between Two Hearts)

Noora visits her sister Yasmin, who asks her for contraceptive pills as she doesn't want to have more kids, adding she is already annoyed by the three she has. Aryam insists to travel as she needs to be alone for some time after her husband died. She visits her mother in London, who has just remarried, but prefers to stay at a hotel and meet her mother there as she is not happy that her mother got married.

Noora fights with her husband as his behavior is embarrassing during dinner with her brother Bashar. On the way home, they fight and she wants to leave the house, but Zeid apologizes, promising not to repeat it. Aryam calls her colleague at work to tell her she is travelling, so this colleague tells Bashar. He says he doesn't care and tell her not to give him any news about her as there is nothing between them anymore.
