Schools in some areas to close during summit

KUWAIT: Schools in some areas will close during the 38th Gulf Cooperation Council’s (GCC) Summit on Dec 5-6, said a statement by the education ministry yesterday. In a press release, the ministry said schools in Farwaniya, Hawally and the Capital educational districts will be closed today due to the holding of the summit. The closure might be extended to tomorrow to prevent traffic congestions, said the ministry. Meanwhile, the health and interior ministries released statements expressing their readiness during the course of the summit. — KUNA
