KUWAIT: After the
case of a customs officer who accepted bribes to allow in an Iraqi driver with
180 kg of hashish, shabu and 100,000 illicit tablets, state security arrested
another Iraqi man for smuggling drugs through the same officer. State security
men at Abdaly office learned about another Iraqi who entered with a large
quantity of drugs and was arrested in Jahra. He confessed to entering without
being searched with the help of the corrupt customs officer, who let him in
after an agreement with the drug lord who sent it from Iraq. The driver said
his job was only to deliver the drugs. He was taken to the Drugs Control
General Department and will be deported. Authorities are looking for the drugs
to prevent it from reaching users.

Policeman
arrested

A policeman was
arrested as he was driving his car erratically. Policemen asked him to pull
over but he did not, so he was chased and caught. He was found under the
influence of drugs and was sent to concerned authorities.

Brother-in-law
accused of theft

A citizen accused
her brother-in-law of stealing personal items from her apartment after taking
the key from her husband. The citizen told police her husband gave the key to
his brother to let in a maintenance man. He later returned the key, and when
they went back home, she discovered the theft. When she called her
brother-in-law, he denied stealing anything and hung up. She then lodged a
complaint, and when police attempted to call him, his phone was switched off,
so the case was handed to concerned authorities to arrest him.

Officers insulted

Nuwaiseeb police
station investigator charged two Gulf women for insulting two employees working
at the border outlet. The two women arrived wearing niqab, and when they
submitted their passports, they were asked to go to a special room to confirm
