KUWAIT: The second Arab Masters Tennis Tournament at Sheikh Jaber Al-Abdullah Al-Sabah International Tennis Court Complex begins on Tuesday. The draw for the tournament's second edition was completed at the Kuwait Tennis Association with the attendance of the best 24 Arab tennis players, according to ATP ratings.

"The elite Arabs will pave the way for Arab champions to reach global heights, through the direct participation of first and second place winners in the Qatar and Dubai open tournaments, which will be an extra incentive for competition in the tournament as well as regionally unprecedented prizes which for the winners," Secretary General of the Arab association and Kuwait Tennis Association Faleh Al-Otaibi said.

"All players started their final preparations on the fields of the complex before the start of the tournament, and that was after their arrival on Sunday. Moreover, everything is moving swiftly according to the planned program by the committee organizing the tournament, headed by Sheikh Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, and cooperation between the Arab and Kuwaiti tennis associations," he added, wishing everyone luck.

Egyptian national team player Mohammed Safwat said: "The tournament is among the most competitive on the regional level due to the participation of the best Arab players, and I hope to compete for the title despite the participation of the best ranked Arab tennis players." Safwat appraised the organization of the tournament, saying: "The tournament is one of the best organized tournaments, whether within the complex, transportation or residency, which will help players display the best of their capabilities."
