KUWAIT: Social development department in Mangaf organized a GCC event under the slogan 'Drugs are an isolation and loss' with the participation of a number of officials from public relations departments at different ministries across the GCC.

Speakers talked about drug awareness, the roles of society and institutions and recognizing addicts, as well as the dangers behind the phenomenon and ways to prevent addiction. The event also featured live displays of how searching for drugs and explosives works.

Participating booths included the antidrug department of the interior ministry, psychological consultancy center and social police department among others.
