KUWAIT: Seven Africans, including five women, were arrested for running a fake domestic labor office that defrauded citizens desiring to hire domestic labor, said security sources.

Accidents

A citizen was instantly killed when an ATV he was riding rolled over in a camping area, said security sources, adding that another young citizen was rushed to ICU when he lost control over his bike and had an accident along King Fahd highway. Meanwhile, two US citizens were injured when four vehicles, including two belonging to a cleaning company they worked for, collided in Leyyah.

Teen injured

An unidentified teenager was rushed to Jahra Hospital with a bullet in his abdomen, said security sources, noting that the boy was rushed for surgery to remove the bullet. A case was filed and further investigations are in progress.

Family disputes

A citizen accused three of his cousins of assaulting him at their house when he showed up to pick up his wife after a family dispute, said security sources, noting that the citizen went to Riqqa police station with a medical report of his injuries. A case was filed and the cousins are being summoned for further investigations.

Fugitive caught

A 25-year-old citizen, who had been wanted for a five-year prison sentence and a KD 30,000 financial claim, was arrested, said security sources.

Drug possession

Three Asians were arrested in Farwaniya with 72 illicit pills, said security sources. Case papers indicate that a police patrol suspected a vehicle and on stopping it and searching the three people inside, detectives found the drugs. In another case, a Gulf national was arrested with two bags of meth in Sulaibiya, said security sources. - Al-Rai, Al-Anbaa
