KUWAIT: President of Kuwait and Arab Tennis Federation Sheikh Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Abdallah Al-Sabah attended the final match and closing ceremony of the 25th Dubai Duty Free Tennis Open 2017 which was won by Britain's Andy Murary who defeated Fernando Verdasco 6-3-6-2.

Sheikh Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Abdallah also attended the meeting of West Asians Tennis Federations Presidents with ITF President David Hasgerty, during which tennis affairs in the region were discussed as well as how to solve problems it faces.

Sheikh Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Abdallah Al-Sabah was honored for his continued support of Dubai Duty Free Tennis Tournament and his participation in the awarding ceremonies over many years.

Sheikh Ahmad Al-Jaber said he was happy with the honoring of Kuwait and Arab tennis. He lauded the success Dubai Duty Free Tennis Open had enjoyed over the past 25 years. He said it started as a giant in 1993. He also lauded the efforts of all organizers of the tournament led by Sheikh Ahmad bin Saeed Al-Maktoum, and Sheikh Hashar bin Maktoum Al-Maktoum.
