KUWAIT: The Annual Sheikh Jaber Al-Abdallah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah Shooting tournament concluded on Saturday with a closing ceremony held at Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Olympic Shooting Complex in the presence of Sheikh Abdallah Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Abdallah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, President of Kuwait and Arab Shooting Federations Engineer Duaij Khalaf Al-Otaibi, Kuwait Shooting Sport Board Members Engineers Mohammad Misfer Al-Ghurba and Hussam Al-Roumi.

Engineer Al-Otaibi said in his closing speech the shooting community is pleased and the success of the opening of Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium, with HH the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad in attendance along with HH the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah. He congratulated the organizing committee and all those who participated in the success of this major sports event. He also congratulated Sheikh Ahmad Al-Mansour Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and the Sports Authority for their good efforts.

Al-Otaibi said KSSC Board of Directors has always been keen on organizing Sheikh Jaber Al-Abdallah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah Cup each year in appreciation of his generous contributions to the development of the sport of shooting since its beginnings adding that his continued support have a great effect on shooters making the achievements they made so far.

The tournament attracted a large number of Kuwait shooters who competed cleanly while exerting all efforts to be among the winners who will be able to represent Kuwait abroad.

Meanwhile Sheikh Abdallah Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah said he is honored to represent Sheikh Jaber Al-Abdallah Al-Jaber Al-Sabah in the closing ceremony and wished Kuwait Shooters all success.

Results of the tournament are as follows:

Air Pistol- Men:

Hamad Abdallah Al-Namshan was able to win first place and the gold medal followed by Saad Al-Ajmi, as place went to Ali Al-Mutairi.

Air Rifle -Men:

Abdallah Al-Harby won first place, Mohammad Abdelrahman was second and Sultan Al-Osaimi third.

50 meter Rifle -Men:

First place went to Bader Nasser, as Torky Al-Shimmari was second and Khalis Al-Subaie third.

50 meter Pistol-Men:

Mideth Al-Sahaly first, Abdallah Al-Mulla second and Hassan Al-Mulla third.

Air Pistol - Women:

Israa Bahman snatched first place as Israa Dashty was a close second and Mriam Shihab third.

Air Rifle - Women:

Heba Irzouqi was first followed by Mariam Irzouqi and Zahraa Al-Saffar was third.

Air Rifle-Women- Junior:

Heba Irzouqi first, Duaa Al-Duwaikhi second and Shurooq Al-Duwaisan third.

Archery-men - Compound:

Musallam Faisal first, Ahmad Al-Shatti second, Salem Al-Saeed third.

Archery-Men- Olympic:

Abdallah Taha first, Abdallah Al-Harby second and bader Al-Mutairi third.
