KUWAIT: Minister of Information and Minister of State for Youth Affairs Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah has said that there is a comprehensive strategic plan to overhaul Kuwaiti sports and maintain good relations with international sports bodies.

Sheikh Salman made the statement Thursday night while attending a celebration of Albania's Embassy here marking its National Day. He stressed readiness of Jaber Al-Ahmad International Stadium to host sports events, referring to the visit of Frist Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Sheikh Sabah Al-Khaled Al-Hamad Al-Sabah and some ministers to this sports facility.

Sheikh Salman lauded the depth of relations between Albania and Kuwait and their peoples in all domains, especially the investment one, affirming Kuwait's keenness on promoting these relations. Meanwhile, Albanian Ambassador in Kuwait Kutim Morina said that the two countries enjoy historic and strong bilateral relations. The special relations have great impact on the growth of Kuwaiti investments in Albania, he said.

He extolled the humanitarian role of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah in supporting Albania in several fields and building education and healthcare centers to serve Albanians. - KUNA
