KUWAIT: Dr Sheikha Hessa Saad Al-Abdullah Al-Salem Al-Sabah, Chairwoman of the Arab Businesswomen Council has said that she is leading efforts to support and empower women in Kuwait as well as in the region. In a speech, after being elected for the seventh consecutive term as the Head of the Council, Sheikha Hessa pledged to spare no efforts in empowering women and honing their skills to make them suitable for employment.

"Our plan for the council's seventh session which would be from the year 2022-2026, would be to support medium and small enterprises, "adding that "those women who excel in their work will be duly rewarded." She also said that her Kuwaiti peer, Khairiah Dashti was named the council's secretary general for the seventh consecutive term. The council's seventh session was recently inaugurated at the Arab League Headquarters. - KUNA
