KUWAIT: Kuwait skeet shooter arrived to a hero's welcome at Kuwait International Airport yesterday, after winning the gold medal and qualifying for the Tokyo 2020 Olympics.

He said the achievements were the fruits of major efforts by all elements, and continued support by Kuwait shooting sport club.

He said competition was very strong with the participation of well known shooters, as it qualifies for the Olympics.



Al-Rashidi said he entered competition totally focused, following several tournaments and training camps earlier, and this contributed to the win.

Mansour Al-Rashidi dedicated the win to HH the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah, HH the Crown Prince Sheikh Nawaf Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah and Kuwait people. He also thanked all those who supported him in making this achievement.

Meanwhile President of Arab and Kuwait Shooting Federations Eng Duaij Al-Otaibi said there will be special plans for shooter Al-Rashidi and all those who qualify for the Olympics in order to continue making those achievements.

Al-Otaibi thanked all those who backed up the club in making the achievements headed by the political leadership which cares for athletes and support them generously.

He also thanked the honorary President of KSSC Sheikh Salman Sabah Al-Salem Al-Humoud Al-Sabah and the Public Authority for Sports.
