Shooter Attapon Ver Aree from Thailand and Jonghyun Kim from S Korea received qualifying seats for the Rio de Janeiro 2016 Olympics. Meanwhile, Chinese shooter Yang said he was happy with his achievements so far and dedicated his medals to his country. He said victories are the result of good preparations for a long time, adding that “we are doing well despite the heated competition with India, though we still have the chance to win the championship as a large number of shooters who are highly qualified are yet to compete. Yang lauded the support shooters are receiving from Kuwait Shooting Federation and the Organizing Committee which had dedicated teams to facilitate things and remove obstacles away from the shooters making delegations concentrate on the competition only.

Meanwhile, President of the Lebanese Shooting Federation Butrous Jalakh said the International Shooting Sport Federation did not follow the sports principles when it took its decision to consider the championship not qualifying for the Olympics. He said that there is a Lebanese shooter Rames Asmar who went to Lebanon from Australia to compete and be able to reach the Asian Championship, and then he came to Kuwait from Australia to fulfill his dream of reaching the Olympics, and now after this unfair decision, what am I to tell him after all the sacrifice he made? I wish the ISSF can answer.
