KUWAIT: Shuaiba Port Sea Fire Center responded to a call about a 55-foot boat being sunk and managed to save nine people onboard. No injuries were reported.

Factory accident
The body of an Arab laborer was removed from a concrete mixer after he fell inside it by accident. The incident took place in a concrete plant in Sulaibiya and the body was handed to forensics.

Shuaiba inspections

Deputy Director General of Kuwait Fire Service Directorate for Prevention Sector Maj Gen Khalid Fahad inspected several national factories in South Shuaiba area in cooperation with Kuwait Industries Union. The inspection came as a show of support to the national industry.

Physiotherapy bill

Kuwait Physiotherapy Society Chairperson, Hana Al-Khamees said a bill was currently being made in collaboration with KIFAS on practicing physiotherapy pending referring it to relevant bodies for further approvals. Speaking at the sidelines of celebrating 'World Physical Therapy Day 2019' at Hamra Mall under the title of 'Chronic Pain', Al-Khamees said that the celebration theme is annually set by the World Physical Therapy Union, which includes Kuwait as an effective member. She added that this year's theme focuses on the role of physiotherapy in dealing with chronic pain, maintaining agility, improving cardiac health, maintain muscle masses, improving moods and other general health practices.

Court orders

MSAL assistant undersecretary for legal affairs, Musallam Al-Subai'e said that court orders issued in favor of the ministry against others had increased to 86 percent since the beginning of 2019. Al-Subai'e justified the increasing percentage on the ministry's keenness to protect public funds adding that orders related to the cooperative societies had increased to 90 percent. This indicates how MSAL resolution laws and regulations and are not issued randomly. Al-Subai'e also noted that co-ops sales had increased from KD 875,546,540 in 2017 to 891,201,368 in 2018.
