KUWAIT: Shuwaikh customs officer foiled an attempt to smuggle counterfeit items from China including bags, sunglasses, makeup, chargers and electronics. An official said the goods were in four containers. Inspection and storage director at Shuwaikh Port Musaed Al-Heelah said the goods carry fake international branding, while the makeup had carcinogenic material. Heelah said the goods will be destroyed.

Bootlegger

A citizen noticed a man selling liquor in the open, so he called police. When patrols arrived, the suspect, Indian, attempted to escape, but was caught and a bag containing six imported bottles were found.
