KUWAIT: Fire engines and ambulances wait outside a warehouse in Jahra where a fire was reported.

KUWAIT: Firemen rescued six persons who were trapped behind flames and thick smoke at their residence in Khaitan. The fire started in several rooms made of corrugated galvanized iron, and set up on the roof of a building. The fire was put out before the flames spread further. In a separate case, firemen tackled a blaze that was reported in a nine-story building in Salmiya yesterday.

The fire was located in a second floor apartment. The building was evacuated, and no injuries were reported. Meanwhile, firemen from four fire station battled a blaze that erupted in a perfumes' warehouse in Jahra. The firefighters prevented the flames from spreading to other stores.

Separately, fire engulfed a truck that was parked in an open yard in Farwaniya. The fire was put out without injuries. Meanwhile, two persons were slightly injured in a fire reported in a Hawally Mall.
