KUWAIT: Minister of Social Affairs and Women and Children's Affairs Mai Al-Baghli has started inspection visits of various departments in the ministry, starting with the social care and shelter department. The minister assured she will review all the department's needs and make up for anything missing in the support of social responsibility and the rights of all involved in social and family care services.

She also promised to support all needs of shelter homes of all kinds. "The staff's role in care shelters is evident and must be supported more in order to upgrade the level of services," Baghli said. "We will aim to support the rights of women and children in this new phase, as we will announce a strategy that can help achieve all ambitions that will advance the country on a regional and global level," she added.

"The development of work starts with adherence to instructions of the political leadership, as well as the observations of the Cabinet regarding improving work and development of services needed by citizens in family, social and shelter aid," Baghli pointed out. The minister mentioned that she issued instructions in a meeting with leaders of the ministry to work hand in hand to improve the quality of performance and apply a wide governmental system to upgrade advanced services for citizens to make things easier for them as part of Kuwait's 2035 vision.
