KUWAIT: Between $175 million and $200 million were lost during a three-day strike carried out by oil unions last week, according to official oil sources’ estimations. Crude oil’s production reached 3 million barrels per day while gas production slightly exceeded one billion cubic feet on Saturday, the sources added.

Further, the sources expected production to rise over the coming two days to reach 3.1 million barrels per day when all gathering centers have rejoined service. Notably, the strike had stopped over 60 percent of Kuwait’s oil production. However, oil exports did not stop or drop during the strike period thanks to oil reserves in northern and southern oil reservoir hangars of up to 12 million crude oil barrels. — Al-Anbaa
