KUWAIT: A number of private school students and their parents recently demonstrated outside their school in protest towards the increasing of the school's tuition fees as a result of upgrading the school category from B to A said informed educational sources. It is also worth noting that the charity fund only pays the fees for needy students in category B school while parents have to pay the difference in category A schools. Furthermore, the sources added that private schools can be upgraded once they meet certain conditions set by the private education directorate and only then can they legally increase their fees.


University expansion
Drake & Scull International company announced concluding the first phase of a project to expand the Sabah Al-Salem University campus in Kuwait, adding that the second phase of the project is expected to be concluded by the end of this year. Drake & Scull added one of its subsidiary companies in Kuwait has taken over the project.
