KUWAIT: Ministry of commerce and industry's official spokesperson Khaled Al-Abdul Hadi said that out of the ministry's keenness on public health and consumers' safety, it made sure subsidized food items distributed to citizens have proper health certificates. Speaking in response to social media reports about seizing some chicken sold on markets infected with salmonella, Abdul Hadi said that all proper procedures had been taken by both the ministry and the municipality. Abdul Hadi also noted that the seized specimens were collected in outlets other than those of subsidized food.

Fuel prices

Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC) strongly denied reports published in one of the local dailies about its intention to raise fuel prices in December and stressed that such stories are groundless rumors.

Case adjourned

The criminal court yesterday adjourned a hearing till the end of December in a case filed against 40 public sector employees over accusations of forging attendance fingerprints and using a plastic mold for employees who do not even show up to work.

E-revenue stamps

Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs and Acting Justice Minister Sheikh Mohammad Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah ordered the formation of a special committee to apply the use of e-revenue stamps for all justice ministry transactions.
