KUWAIT: Airport customs officers foiled an attempt to smuggle 100,000 Captagon tablets. Airport customs supervisor Suleiman Al-Fahd said the officers caught a Syrian man who attempted to smuggle the tablets hidden in sweets' boxes. He was sent to concerned authorities. Meanwhile, Nuwaiseeb customs found 120 electronic cigarettes, that are banned in Kuwait.

The court of appeal yesterday decided to suspend an earlier verdict to imprison blogger Hamed Buyabes over charges of slandering Saudi Arabia, and released him pending its final decision.
