KUWAIT: Kuwait national table tennis disabled team arrived from Amman after participating in the National Club 14th International Championship for the Disabled, which saw 132 players from 20 countries competing. Kuwait's team won five various medals as Khalifa Al-Khalifa and Ali Al-Sane won two gold medals in the mixed doubles and Ahad Al-Rashidi won the singles’ bronze, with two medals in the men's doubles for Hassan Al-Ibrahim and Mohammad bin Jabal.

Kuwait’s Charge d’Affaires in Jordan Dr Mubarak Al-Hajeri lauded the results Kuwait athletes achieved, adding “it was another honorable achievement by Kuwait youth in an international championship that had strong competition, and this confirms the ability of Kuwait youth to be winners and hoist Kuwait’s flag high at various regional and international events”.

Head of the delegation Duaij Al-Hajeri said the participation in the championship in Jordan achieved the sought after results, adding that participation was after a training camp in Cairo, adding the team will continue its preparations for the championship to be held in Saudi Arabia in August.
