KUWAIT: A 16-year-old expat was recently arrested for selling drug on behalf of a citizen who is serving a life time imprisonment sentence for drug trafficking, said security sources. Case papers indicate that narcotics detectives were tipped off concerning the juvenile's activity and how he used to hide drugs in certain hideouts where his customers could then pick them up. Arresting the boy while putting a package, he confessed that he worked for a central prison inmate. He also led police to about 50 grams of heroin he hid at his house. The boy also told police that at first he received a call from an unknown person, who offered him KD5 for each delivery he made. He added that he later on learnt that he worked for an inmate. The boy added that he usually received a call from the inmate, telling him where to pick up the packages till further notice. A case was filed and the inmate is being summoned for further investigations.

Deliveryman stabbed

An Asian delivery man was recently stabbed when an unidentified assailant attacked him in Ghernata and stole his belongings including cash he carried, said security sources. A passerby found the man in a pool of blood and informed the police, the sources added. The man was rushed to Sabah Hospital.

Senior citizen assaulted

A Syrian man was recently referred to Andalus police station for assaulting a senior citizen who was selling traditional photos at the Friday market, when they argued about location priority. -- Al-Rai, Al-Anbaa
