ShareKUWAIT: A bloody fight between juveniles in Sulaibiya in which axes were used was brought under control by policemen, who sent them to the juvenile prosecution. The fighters were found with axes and knives. They were sent to hospital and received treatment for their injuries.
Body found
The body of an Indian man was recovered by the coroner after he was found dead in West Mishref, and there are suspicions of foul play behind his death. The body was discovered by passersby in front of a building, so police were called. Cuts on his face and bruises around the eye suggested a criminal act behind his death. Investigations are underway.
Woman assaulted
A man beat a female citizen in Mahboula, then hit her with a cup on the head and groped her after an argument. The citizen went to Fintas police station and told them she received a call from a man she knows, who asked her to come to Mahboula to talk about some problems. Detectives are working on the case.
Guard beaten
A Jordanian security guard accused three men of beating him, in a complaint he lodged at Subbiya police station. The three Nepalese nationals were arrested and held for questioning.
Bootlegger arrested
An Indian man was arrested in Rabiya for selling locally-brewed liquor from his car. He had 42 bottles ready for sale and was charged with possessing and selling alcohol. He was sent to concerned authorities for further legal action.
Suicide attempt
A Yemeni woman in her 30s slashed her wrist in a suicide attempt in her Fintas home. She was rushed to Adan Hospital. She was charged with attempted suicide, and will be questioned on her recovery.
Drug possession
An Indian roaming taxi driver failed in his attempt to escape from police after they caught him with hashish seeds. The Indian was stopped to check his ID, but seemed nervous, so they searched him and found a bag of the seeds. He said he was planning to plant them. The suspect violently resisted police requests to get in the patrol car, but he was forced in and taken to the police station. - Al-Rai
