KUWAIT: Qadesiya faced off against Tadhamon while Kuwait battled Burqan as the four teams made it to the semi finals of HH the Crown Prince Cup tournament. The final two quarterfinal matches saw Qadesiya defeat Arabi 1-0 with great difficulty while Tadhamon defeated Jahra 2-1. Qadesiya started the match by scoring a goal in the 2nd minute only to be disallowed by the referee after consulting with the VAR. Qadesiya lost several scoring opportunities as Arabi's goalkeeper kept his net intact.

The second half continued the same as the first half until the 74th minute when the referee awarded Qadesiya a penalty kick after confirming his decision by VAR. Bader Al-Mutwaa succeeded in scoring a goal in two attempts as the referee made him kick it for the second time. The referee then issued a red card to Qadesiya's Redha Hani for a foul play.

Arabi was not able to take advantage of Qadesiya's deficiency. Arabi's Bandar Al-Salama had an opportunity to score and demanded a penalty kick but the referee decided it was an offside - again after consulting the VAR. Abdallah Ammar from Arabi was issued a red card following a reckless foul against Eid Al-Rashidi. The match ended with 1-0 after a lengthy added time.

In an earlier match, Tadhamon made sure they were among the four final teams when they met Jahra by winning their match 2-1. Tadhamon's Yousuf Enaizan scored first, then Yousuf Al-Rashidi equalized for Jahra. As the regular time was about to end, Tadhamon was awarded a foul through which Rashed Al-Mutairi scored the winner.
