KUWAIT: Policemen arrested an Indian and two Pakistanis red-handed while stealing in Industrial Shuwaikh. Policemen became suspicious about three persons walking between parked cars, then discovered they were stealing the cars' contents. The three were sent to criminal detectives for further legal action.

Self-defense

A citizen said he ran over his father-in-law in self-defense when he attempted to hit him with a thick stick. He said he planned to give himself up after the weekend. A security source said a citizen was taken to Jahra Hospital for treatment after he suffered various fractures. He told them his son-in-law ran him over in Jahra. Jahra detectives were able to locate the suspect in Rahaya, where he was arrested. Investigations are underway.

Fatal fall

A citizen fell to his death from the fifth floor of a building when he coughed while standing in the balcony and lost his balance. Police and paramedics rushed to the scene and the death was confirmed. The body was recovered by the coroner.

Under the influence

A young man who competed with two friends over a girl while under the influence of drugs, called police and claimed a man is threatening to attack a girl with an axe. Police rushed to the area in Sulaibiya and found the three men and a girl were all under the influence. A security source said the three men confessed to having a dispute over the girl, and one of them called police to take revenge. No axe was found and the suspects, all bedoons, are being questioned.

Swindling

Capital governorate detectives are looking for a female citizen who swindled several women and took money from them for what she claimed was partnership in businesses. The amounts of money varied between KD 4,000 to KD 25,000, then the woman disappeared. The suspect told one of her victims that her husband imports cars and asked her to become a partner, then took her money and disappeared.

 

Officer hurt

A lieutenant was rushed to the military hospital after he suffered a fracture in his ankle after being dragged by a drugs' user for a distance. The suspect was sent to the Drug Control General Department (DCGD) and will later be charged with attempted murder and escaping from police. The policemen noticed a driver running the red light near Subhan, so he pulled him over. The policeman noticed the driver was not OK, then when he was talking to him, he attempted to escape.
