KUWAIT: Athletes of Tomooh Sports Club for Mental Disabilities won two gold, one silver and on bronze medals in the first day of the Czech International Forum for the Disabled Athletics, that is organized by the Czech Paralympic Committee in Ostrava city from June 8th until the 11th. Secretary General of Tomooh club, Head of the delegation Sadeeqa Al-Ansari congratulated the leadership of the country for this achievement, describing the athletes of being up to the task and presented an honorable image for the sport of the disabled.

She said this is the result of good preparations and hard work of the athletes and concerned departments during training be it in Kuwait or during the camp that was held in Tunis for 9 days before the championship. She thanked the board of Directors for nor sparing an effort to prepare the athletes for this international event. She also thanked the Public Authority for Sport.

Al-Ansari appreciated the efforts of Kuwait Embassy in Czechia and ambassador Rashid Al-Hajiri in particular and Diplomatic Attaché Faisal Al-Fouzan who facilitated all procedures at arrival and during competition. Athletes Fahad Al-Saleeli and Haneen Al-Misbah won a gold medal each in the 200 meters race of the T20 category for men and women, while Hassan Sameer won the silver medal of the 800 meters of the T36 category and Abdallah Salmeen won the Bronze of the 200 meters of the T20 category.
