KUWAIT: The Kuwait Investment Forum (KIF) 2018 will be held in Kuwait tomorrow (20th March 2018) under the patronage of His Highness the Amir Sheikh Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Jaber Al-Sabah at the Bayan Palace and the Jaber Al-Ahmad Cultural Center. KIF 2018 is co-organized by the Kuwait Direct Investment Promotion Authority (KDIPA) and the Kuwait Chamber of Commerce and Industry (KCCI).
The two-day event will highlight important investment partnerships and strategic investment opportunities available in Kuwait. KIF 2018 boasts remarkable guest speakers from the Kuwaiti pubic and privates sector, as well as prominent international business executives.
Speakers will include: His Highness Sheikh Jaber Al-Mubarak Al-Sabah, Prime Minister of Kuwait, Sheikh Nasser Sabah Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, First Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Defense, Sheikh Sabah Al-Hamad Al-Sabah, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs, Anas Al Saleh, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, Dr Nayef Al-Hajraf, Minister of Finance Kuwait, Hind Al-Sabeeh, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor and Minister of State for Economic Affairs, Khalid Nasser Al-Roudan, Minister of Commerce and Industry, Minister Sheikh Salman Al-Humoud Al-Sabah, Head of the General Directorate of Civil Aviation, Dr Mohammad Yousef Al-Hashel, Governor of the Central Bank of Kuwait and Sheikh Dr Meshaal Jaber Al-Ahmad Al-Sabah, Director General for KDIPA.
Participating in the Forum, prominent private sector leaders in Kuwait, including Ali Mohammed Thunayan Al-Ghanim, Chairman of the Board of Directors of KCCI, Isam Jassem Al-Saqer, Group Chief Executive Officer of the National Bank of Kuwait Group, Hamad Al- Marzouq, Chairman Kuwait Finance House, Manaf Al-Hajeri, CEO of Kuwait Financial Center, Omar Kutayba Alghanim, CEO of Alghanim Industries and Chairman of Gulf Bank, and areq Sultan, Chief Executive Officer and Vice Chairman of Agility.
The Forum will also be attended by several international delegations, including a high-ranking Chinese delegation from the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade (CCPIT), as well as speeches and participations by top executives of major international companies, including Ebru Ozdemir, Chairwoman, Limak Investments- Turkey, Timothy Keating, Executive Vice President of Government Operations, The Boeing Company-USA, and Jason Channell, Managing Director and Global Head of Energy & Cleantech, Citi Research - London, England.
The Forum agenda will address the important topics of: Investing for the future Kuwait, trade facilitation: a driver for development, investment opportunities - lucrative options in dynamic sectors, financing for sustainable development and an open dialogue on "Kuwait Development Path: The Vision & the Determination".
There will also be a special session that will provide an update on New Kuwait. This exclusive session is the first public event since the vision's launch in January 2017 and will shed light on the progress to date on each of the program's seven pillars. Dr. Nayef Al-Hajraf, Minister of Finance Kuwait, and Hind Al-Sabeeh, Minister of Social Affairs and Labor and Minister of State for Economic Affairs and Khalid Nasser Al-Roudan, Minister of Commerce and Industry, Minister of State for Youth Affairs will be speaking at this session.
