KUWAIT: A search is on for a traffic policeman who was seen on a video shared over social media handing over a traffic citations book, driver's licenses and registrations he had withdrawn from motorists for traffic violations to a woman who appears to be his girlfriend. In the video, the girl appears to be intoxicated and can be seen waving the citations book and threatening anyone who might annoy her.

Friends arrested for assault

Three army staff, a policeman, a student and an unemployed citizen were recently arrested for assaulting a police patrol. The men had attempted to come to the aid of a friend who had been arrested after running three red lights and being chased and finally stopped only after driving to a spot where his friends had gathered. All the suspects are facing charges.

Stabbing during fight

An army officer was recently stabbed during a fight with a citizen in the chalet area, said security sources, noting that the officer was rushed to the military hospital. A case was filed and further investigations are in progress.

Policemen assaulted

A bedoon was recently arrested for assaulting policemen and stabbing one of them, said security sources, noting that the suspect  held no ID and had some anti-depression pills with him. A case was filed and further investigations are in progress.

Diwaniya death investigated

Four citizens and an Egyptian have been summoned for questioning in the death of one of their friends, said security sources. The deceased was found dead at his own diwaniya where his mouth was bleeding. Initial investigations showed that five friends were present when the host died.

Drug arrests

Ahmadi detectives recently arrested two citizens with the possession of drugs and while driving a stolen vehicle in Riqqa area, said security sources.

Nurse fraud case

A nurse recently filed a fraud case accusing unidentified people of telling him he had won KD 20,000 and asked him to transfer KD 378 to them. The nurse sent the money, only to later discover someone had stolen an additional KD 1,300 from his bank account.

Housemaid accused of theft
