KUWAIT: The Kuwait National Seismic affiliated with KISR said Monday that tremors felt earlier in the country was caused by a 5.9 magnitude earthquake occurring Western Iran. Head of the Network Dr. Abdullah Al Enizi indicated that the earthquake in Iran at a dept of 10 kms occurred 256 kilometers from Kuwait.

The tremor in Kuwait lasted for seconds and it was felt in various parts of the country. Kuwait's MEW assured that Mondays quake caused no harm to the ministry installations. Speaking to KUNA, undersecretary at the ministry of Electricity and Water Engineer Mohammad Boushehri confirmed that the ministry's facilities and projects were not affected by the quake and all facilities are working normally.
