KUWAIT: Police arrested three persons in Mahboula for suspicion of liquor possession. Police found 100 water bottles with the Indian men suspected to be containing alcoholic drinks. They were sent to concerned authorities. Separately, Jahra police campaigns resulted in the arrest of a person in Taima with possession of 1,230 tablets, with KD 2,248 in cash. Another person was arrested in the same area with possession of 65 tablets and KD 490.

Drug trade

Farwaniya detectives sent an Egyptian man to the Drug Control General Directorate for trading in Tramadol. A source said the man was arrested after an agent undercover was sent to him to buy drugs. A total of 840 tablets were found with him.

No injuries in fire

A fire broke out in a vehicle in Salmiya yesterday. South Salmiya firemen responded to an emergency call reporting the fire, and managed to put out the flames before they could spread to nearby vehicles. No injuries were reported.

Reckless driving

Ahmadi police patrols arrested a Kuwaiti man for reckless driving in Aqaila. He is an officer cadet at the fire department. His vehicle was impounded as he was detained in Fintas police station.

New flyover

The Interior Ministry's General Traffic Department announced the opening of a flyover on Nuwaiseeb road, also known as the King Fahad Highway or Road 40, near the 84th kilometer mark. The flyover will be opened today. Drivers heading from Nuwaiseeb to Kuwait City can use the flyover and return to the opposite direction.
