KUWAIT: Two seasonal-influenza death cases were announced by the health ministry yesterday. The deaths were mainly due to chronic diseases the two patients had before they contracted the flu, the ministry’s assistant undersecretary Dr Majedah Al-Qattan told KUNA.

The first death was reported on Tuesday, while the second one was announced yesterday, she added. The first case was that of a person who had a myocardial heart failure and angina pectoris, while the second case was that of a 68-year old who suffered from diabetes, high blood pressure and kidney problems.
