London: The UK government on Monday introduced a new bill to parliament proposing an overhaul to the post-Brexit trade deal it signed for Northern Ireland, running the risk of a trade war with the EU.

Foreign Secretary Liz Truss called the Northern Ireland Protocol Bill a "reasonable, practical solution to the problems facing Northern Ireland" and said it does not break international law.
