KUWAIT: Wara hospital held a reception to celebrate the opening of the hospital. The reception took place in Avenues, Vox Cinema, on Tuesday. On the sideline of the event, CEO of Wara Hospital, Dr Ghanima Al-Omer, said: "This event is to host the lunch of Wara private hospital which is a general hospital that specialized in the super strategically specialty in Kuwait." She expressed her pride that the hospital is first of its kind to be owned and operated by Kuwaiti physicians, not by investors.

"The doctors who own this hospital are working for the hand by hand with their colleagues. We are proud that we are among fewest hospitals in Kuwait been operating by a majority of Kuwaiti doctors. Also, we hired professionals from Germany, US and all around the globe to cover the surgical and medical specialties that not been covered by the Kuwaiti doctors," she added.

Omer noted "Wara Hospital started the soft opening a few months ago, but today is the official lunch, we are working 24 hours, 7 days a week to serve the surgical and medical emergency. WARA Hospital has 65 state-of-the-art and 5 operating rooms operated by expert surgeons." The event was attended by VIP doctors, officials, and media. The reception followed by a movie that been screened to show the hospital's facilities.

She explained that the dental department includes a medical staff of 8 Kuwaiti doctors, all of them hold the American Board, adding "The hospital specializes in rare surgeries such as spinal surgery, natural medicine and day-to-day operations. There are specialists in the department of the digestive system and a full medical team to treat infertility in addition to an embryologist who oversees the department as he is the only specialist in this field in Kuwait."

Omer pointed out that Wara hospital has the latest technologies, such as a one-shot radiograph device to produce a complete image of the patient from head to toe, and it is the only machine in Kuwait and the third in the Middle East and the Gulf where the device's inventor is a Nobel winner. "We also have the only "Tesla 3" device in Kuwait and the Middle East, in addition to the presence of the medical gym next to the built-in swimming pool for patients to exercise," she said.
