Kuwait: West Asian Athletics Association's General Assembly approved Friday a modified system that corresponds to international and Asian associations' new systems.

Asian Athletics Association chief Qatari, Dahlan Al-Hamad, when speaking to the press after assembly meeting headed by Kuwaiti Sayyar Al-Enezi and attended by national association representatives, hailed this step as great success in bolstering principles of transparency, justice and equality.

The revised system works on combating corruption in sports in all its types whether financial, administrative or steroid consumption, Al-Hamad added, saying that this will contribute to boosting cooperation between West Asian and Asian Athletics Associations.

On his part, Chief of Kuwaiti Athletics Association Sayyar Al-Enezi commented saying that he is hopeful for more progress and prosperity as this modification further organizes association affairs.
